Biography

Edward Gaines was born the second of five children to Robert and Marilyn Gaines. His father held several small pattens which brought wealth to the family. Edward has an older sister, Alice, and an older brother, Robert Jr., who was paralyzed in a car accident when Edward was twelve. He also has two younger sisters, Brenda and Samantha.

Edward was an honor role student in high school as well as a football player and wrestler. Managing to gain a scholarship as a receiver, he spend four years in college at Virginia Tech. After graduation, in Sports Management, he began working for a few small time wrestling organizations as a talent scout. After his coming into his money at the age of 21, he managed to find his way into the World Wide Wrestling Alliance (3WA) not only as a talent scout, but also as a partial owner of the company. Refusing to take sides in the battle for control of the company, Gaines tried to make a name for himself in the industry first by being responsible for the firing of “Georgeous” Jimmy K. the first Talent Scout on the 3WA. After some time he began working as a Talent Scout for the Athletic Wrestling Alliance (AWA).

Shortly there after disappeared from the wrestling Industry as a whole after selling his shares of the company to Drew Hayden to aid him in his bid to take over the Ultimate Wrestling Federation (UWF). Two month later Gaines would return to the now World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) as a performer. While he was away he was trained by Robert Lunde and Hyde.

During his time as Talent Scout for the 3WA Gaines was instrumental in bringing in Jason Reubens as Barbaro Talon. Later it would be Reubens who would be responsible from bringing in Gaines as a performer. After having a few matches against growing nemesis Kyko “The Psycho” both superstars have apparently disappeared from the WCCW. When will Edward Gaines return and just where has he been. More importantly does his disappearance have anything to do with the sudden appearance of Barbaro Talon in Jason Reuben's life?
